Everlaw is looking for a Senior Instructional Designer to join our rapidly-growing Product team! In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering educational content for Everlaw’s robust product Certification Program, serving both internal and external users.  The learning experience you create ensures our users have the product knowledge they need to excel as Everlaw experts in their roles. 

You will report to our Instructional Design Manager and collaborate with the Product Instructional Design and broader Product teams to become an expert in Everlaw and translate technical concepts into engaging learning materials and experiences. You will work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to build programming based on learner needs that evolve as Everlaw’s product and company continue to grow.

This is a full-time position based in our Oakland, California office with a hybrid work schedule: in office M/W/Th with the option to work from home Tu/Fr.

Getting started

In your role, you'll...

  • Become product certified! You will immerse yourself into the Everlaw platform and user workflows through our comprehensive certification. 
  • Learn the ins and outs of Everlaw’s Certification Program goals and share responsibility for continuously improving our processes.
  • Manage and maintain our learning management system, ensuring a seamless learning experience is delivered to our learners.
  • Curate and manage our learning content to reflect our product offerings and program goals, updating existing assets and developing new materials including assessments, guides, and tutorials. 
  • Identify and collect program metrics to analyze the effectiveness of learning content and inform decisions about our team’s roadmap and strategies.
  • Optimize the use of learning technologies to help us scale.

About you

  • You have at least 5 years of experience designing and implementing creative ways to help other people virtually learn about software technologies, prioritizing a delightful and impactful learner experience, ideally in B2B Software-as-a-Service.  
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant experience using learning software such as: Articulate, Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, WalkMe, iorad, etc. 
  • You have at least 2 years of relevant experience managing a Learning Management System (LMS). 
  • Your portfolio highlights your ability to balance structure and simplicity when designing for highly technical subject matter. 
  • You are intentional about measuring the impact and efficacy of both the learning content you create and the program overall. 
  • You have a strategic mind and enjoy thinking about structures, curricula, rubrics, and processes that are scalable for an evolving product and audience. 
  • You are quality-, process-, and detail-oriented: You’re highly organized and understand the importance of prioritization. 
  • You are authorized to work in the United States. Please note that at this time, Everlaw is not sponsoring U.S. employment visas for this role.

Pluses

  • You have managed a learning/training or certification program for a B2B SaaS company. 
  • You have measured the quality and success of learning with the use of data tools such as learning record stores (LRS), Google Analytics, Looker, etc. You have experience with data analysis platforms such as Google Analytics.
  • You have partnered cross-functionally with Product, Customer Experience, GTM, Marketing, and/or Enablement teams to deliver and scale learning programs.
  • You have facilitated virtual/in-person instructor-led training.
  • You have experience working in the legal field or have a legal degree.

Benefits

  • The expected salary range for this role is between $110,000 - $140,000. The final offered salary will be dependent upon many factors including the candidate’s experience and skills. The base pay range is subject to change in the future.
